Dinesen Layers Oak is a collection of engineered wooden floors in the same high quality as Dinesen plank floors. The planks are constructed of three layers of solid wood. The topside consists of the finest, solid oak in a thickness matching our solid plank floors and will last for generations.
The middle layer is transverse and consists of finger jointed offcuts of oak or ash from our production of solid planks. Oak and ash supplement each other in hardness and strength, and the utilisation of both wood types contributes to the durability and sustainability of the plank.
The underside of the plank consists either of solid oak or finger-jointed offcuts in oak or ash, like the middle layer. Thus, the underside may vary in expression from one plank to another.
Prices from 190€ per m2 / 20$ per ft2 / 172£ per m2 excl. of VAT, delivery and installation.
As an old family business, we appreciate the importance of planning for the future. Therefore, we only use raw wood from sustainable forestry where the stands are tended with the greatest care and respect for nature. We source most of our wood from Germany, but we also work with other European countries where forestry has been based on sustainable principles for centuries.
An important element of sustainable forestry is cutting down one tree at a time, thus giving the trees a chance to grow strong and live out their total capacity, before they are felled and ready to serve new purposes. That is sustainability in practice.
Our planks are very well suited for underfloor heating and we recommend installing it as a comfortable and durable solution.
About 80% of our projects are established with underfloor heating. We have years of experience with underfloor heating under plank floors, and it is an unproblematic solution, provided you follow our instructions.
