On a small idyllic side street, pulled back from the urban bustle of Frederiksberg, lies this historic factory building, which underwent a functional transformation during the 1950s. Today, the building has been converted into flats. One of them is this 376-square-metre dwelling, which, after extensive renovation, now consists of the ground floor and the former snap fastener section in the basement.
The renovation was undertaken by the owner, who was closely involved in all the design details. Her vision was to create a home where every room has a warm, welcoming feel – a refuge that offers a calm and relaxing space as a counterbalance to her hectic working life.
The interior is defined by carefully curated objects, Danish design and striking colours that please the eye and contribute to an atmosphere of wellness. A central element in the renewal of the flat was the choice of Dinesen floors in Layers Oak Classic. The floors form a neutral canvas for the owner’s personality, including colourful and exuberant works of art.
